An experienced director, producer and scriptwriter, Brad Froman's
creative eye and innovative style has garnered award-winning
television advertising, photography and corporate films for 21 years.
Currently, Brad’s production company Cool Blue Pictures is
developing the film projects INSIGHT (psychological thriller),
SEARCHING FOR BOUDREAUX AND THIBODEAUX (feature documentary) and
SOLOMON (Drama) all of which he penned.
Froman’s successful career leads him to the position of event
producer and managing director at CentreVision, a Washington D.C.
company that specialized in live, event television. In addition to his
management role, he produced and directed many of the facilities’ live
productions and concerts including projects for HBO, the NBA, the NHL
and MTV concerts (George Michael's “Faith” Tour, Joan Jett and Robert
Plant). Brad also directed NBC’s Saturday Sports Showcase of the
National Figure Skating Championship in Landover, Maryland and ABC's
"Prime Time" concert segment "The Highwaymen" starring Johnny Cash,
Johnny Paycheck, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson.
He partnered with feature film producer John Hardy ("Erin
Brockovich," "Out of Sight," "Sex, Lies and Videotape," "Ocean's
Eleven") to form the production company Screen Arts. Screen Arts was
an immediate success with the award-winning production of commercials,
corporate films, and entertainment for clients such as: Universal
Pictures, Louisiana Lottery, Iberia Bank, Woman's Hospital, Flores &
Rucks, Argosy Gaming, Texaco, Ameristar Casino, Evergreen Aviation,
EATEL PCS, Department of Natural Resources, and many more.
Through his production partnership, Froman had the opportunity to
work with director Steven Soderbergh on the edit of movie trailers for
the film "Schizopolis," and "Gray's Anatomy." He also directed a 2nd
unit scene (uncredited) on Steven Soderbergh's "Out of Sight."
In 1999, Froman opened Cool Blue Pictures, a production company
specializing in the production of commercials, corporate videos, and
more recently the production of filmed entertainment for theatrical,
television, and Internet distribution. Clients include Discovery
Network, The Food Network, Time/Life, ESPN The Magazine, Louisiana
Lottery, Universal Pictures, NBA Entertainment and Coca-Cola to name a
few.
Brad has directed several commercials for the Louisiana Lottery.
The most recent starring television personality Jimmie “Kid Dynamite”
Walker of the popular 70’s sitcom “Good Times” and the legendary
Phyllis Diller who is known for regular appearances on the Jack Parr
Show, Bob Hope Specials and the upcoming film “Forget About It” with
Burt Reynolds. In addition Brad directed the sitcom segment in the
film, "Favorite Son."
Brad’s incredible production proficiency has translated into
Houston Film Festival Awards, national Addy and Telly awards, and
numerous regional and local awards from the American Advertising
Federation, the Southern Public Relations Association and other
organizations.
Brad Froman studied broadcast journalism at Louisiana State
University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
